About Southern Horse Talk
Southern Horse Talk empowers equine enthusiasts and amplifies conversations in the horse community by providing horse resources and by highlighting family friendly, equine-related activities, events, and businesses. What started with Alabama Horse Talk has grown to include a much larger area across the South, leading to the need for a name that reflects that coverage … Southern Horse Talk. Southern Horse Talk is all about sharing and promoting our Southern equine lifestyle!
About Becca Salamone
Becca Salamone is a native Alabamian, born and raised in Birmingham. Thirty years ago, she owned and showed Quarter Horses in the AQHA southeastern show circuits, winning numerous trophies and ribbons for all-around performances. Her biggest show accomplishments include earning Reserve State Championships in Showmanship and Horsemanship, winning third at the Southern Regionals in Hunt Seat Equitation, as well as making the Quarter Horse Congress (OH) and Youth Finals (OK) teams.
Currently, she owns Quarter Horses and enjoys trail riding with her family and friends. In 2012, she was a member of the HorsePlay Equine Drill Team, that performs and competes across the southeast, and qualified for Worlds in Lindale, Texas. Her future endeavors include trying as many disciplines of interest as possible!
Ms. Salamone believes that “Life is a Ride” and that every day is another opportunity to learn about and enjoy her horses. What makes her job at both Alabama Horse Talk and Southern Horse Talk special to her is the gift of learning about horses and the horse community and sharing that knowledge with others who love horses as much as she does. With Southern Horse Talk, covering the joy of horsemanship has expanded to include states from Texas all the way up to Virginia. What a blessing to be able to pursue a pleasure and a passion, and sharing that passion with other horse lovers!
